Moonshot Terra Maris:

Introducing: the Isotope Chronograph Compax Moonshot Terra Maris

Isotope proudly presents the Moonshot Terra Maris, a new chapter in its first chronograph collection, co-created with watch journalist Miguel Seabra.

Like the original Moonshot Stealth, the Terra Maris features a world-first and exclusive sub-dial system that reimagines the tricompax layout for improved legibility. Beneath a striking double-domed sapphire crystal, the Moonshot’s futuristic design makes a bold statement in both form and function.

Each piece is CNC-machined from a solid block of Grade 5 Titanium, DLC-coated, and hand-finished to achieve a sophisticated, matte aesthetic. Inside beats either a Swiss ETA Valjoux 7753 or Landeron 73 automatic movement. The distinctive 41mm case (49.5mm lug-to-lug) continues Isotope’s mission to reshape traditional chronograph design.

Inspired by the sci-fi classic The Incal by Jodorowsky and Moebius, the Moonshot reflects founder José Miranda’s deep love of graphic novels and space-age storytelling. (Note: The Incal and its authors are not affiliated with this project.)

While the Stealth leans into deep space, the Terra Maris edition brings the design back to Earth with a colourway inspired by the land and sea, a gradient blend of browns and blues drawn from the Cascais coastline, where Seabra lives. It follows the original GMT 0º Terra Maris, extending the concept into a capsule collection.

“The Terra Maris reflects my home by the Atlantic,” says Seabra. “It blends retro-futurism with the timeless beauty of coastal Portugal. I’m proud to collaborate with a microbrand as innovative as Isotope.”

After four years of development, the Moonshot stands as Isotope’s most technically ambitious watch yet, featuring a bespoke and exclusive rotating sub-dial mechanism precisely calibrated for accuracy.

Each Moonshot Terra Maris is individually numbered and delivered with a three-link Grade 5 Titanium bracelet and a blue cut-to-size FKM rubber strap, both with DLC butterfly deployant clasps. As with all Moonshots, production is limited by time and demand.
