Moonshot:

Introducing: The Isotope Chronograph Compax Moonshot Horizon

Isotope unveils the new Chronograph Compax Moonshot Horizon, a limited evolution of our award-winning chronograph platform, now presented in a sharper and more luminous configuration.

Machined from Grade 5 Titanium, the Moonshot Horizon combines lightness, strength and a precise technical feel on the wrist. Its blue sunburst dial shifts from bright cyan to deeper tones as the light moves across it, while the orange rings around the registers take inspiration from the warm hues seen at the horizon, where colour, distance and atmosphere meet.

The bezel combines a telemeter scale, used to estimate the distance of approaching storms, with a pulsometer scale for measuring heart rate, and keeping track of your passions.

The visual language is influenced by the work of Moebius: graphic, architectural and imagined rather than nostalgic. It gives the Horizon a distinct identity within the Moonshot family, while keeping the watch firmly rooted in Isotope’s design codes.

The dial construction remains one of the defining elements of the Moonshot. Instead of conventional open sub-dials, the chronograph registers use silver aluminium discs that partially cover the indications, revealing only the information needed to read them. It is a highly distinctive solution, developed to improve clarity while giving the chronograph its unmistakable character.

The 41mm Grade 5 Titanium case is paired with the new titanium bracelet, now fitted with a quick-release button system for easier strap changes. Each watch is also supplied with the orange FKM CTS Moonshot strap, cut-to-size and fitted with a deployant clasp.

The Moonshot platform has already been recognised by collectors and industry specialists. Last year, the Moonshot Terra Maris won the Public Choice Award in Toronto and the Innovation Award in Warsaw, confirming the strength of its concept, engineering and design.

The new Moonshot Horizon continues that story in a more vibrant direction. Limited to 30 pieces, it is available as a pre-order, with watches expected to be ready to ship by the end of June.

Inside beats the Swiss automatic Valjoux 7753, one of the great automatic chronograph movements, chosen for its reliability, architecture and reputation. If the Grade 5 Titanium case, bespoke aluminium disc system and award-winning design were not serious enough, the Valjoux seals the deal.

The name Moonshot was never chosen lightly. A moonshot is an attempt to do something difficult, ambitious and uncertain, not because it is easy, but because the idea is worth chasing. For Isotope, this meant rethinking the chronograph display itself: keeping the familiar logic of a tricompax layout, but changing how the information is revealed.

The result is not simply another chronograph with a new dial colour. It is a watch built around a solution no one else has achieved in quite this way: a mechanical chronograph where the sub-dials become rotating, partially hidden instruments, showing only what matters.

For collectors looking for a chronograph that moves beyond the familiar, while remaining technically serious and deeply considered, the Moonshot Horizon sits exactly where its name suggests: at the edge of what already exists, looking further.

Availability: Pre-order now. Limited edition of 30 watches, with delivery expected by the end of June.
