New York, New Friends, and Ten Years of Isotope: A Weekend to Remember
New York, New Friends, and Ten Years of Isotope: A Weekend to Remember
NYC Watch Week, The Hype Watch Show, and a very special anniversary celebration in the city that never sleeps.
There are watch shows, and then there are watch shows that remind you exactly why you fell in love with this hobby in the first place. This past weekend, October 16th through 18th, Isotope Watches co-founder Jose Miranda and Marc Levesque, our North American Brand Director, had the pleasure of representing Isotope at The Hype Watch Show, held at The Draper Hotel in New York City as part of NYC Watch Week.
And what a weekend it was.
The Hype Watch Show: It's All About the People

Anyone who has spent time on the watch show circuit knows that attendance numbers only tell part of the story. A packed room is wonderful, of course, but what really matters is who is filling that room and why they've come. The Hype Watch Show absolutely nailed it.
Yes, the show drew a great crowd, but more importantly, it attracted the right one. These weren't simply people wandering through to see what all the fuss was about. These were genuine watch enthusiasts, passionate collectors, curious newcomers, and people who were truly interested in the brands standing behind the tables. And that makes all the difference.
Throughout the three days, Jose and Marc had countless conversations with people who genuinely wanted to know more about Isotope. Not just the specifications, movements, or dimensions, but the stories behind the watches, the inspiration behind the designs, and the philosophy that has guided the brand for the past decade.
There were laughs, plenty of stories, familiar faces, and a whole lot of new ones. Watches were tried on, opinions were exchanged, and yes, a few watches even found their way onto new wrists. But the real success of a show like this isn't measured solely by the number of watches sold. It's measured by the connections made, the relationships strengthened, and the enthusiasm that everyone takes home with them. By that measure, The Hype Watch Show was an absolute home run.
A tremendous amount of credit goes to the organizers for creating an environment where independent brands and the people who appreciate them could come together so naturally. The atmosphere was welcoming, the energy was fantastic, and the entire experience reminded us why events like this matter so much to the independent watchmaking community.
One thing is certain: The Hype Watch Show is already on our calendar for 2027.

Ten Years of Isotope. One Incredible Night in New York City.
As if three days surrounded by watch enthusiasts weren't enough, we also had another very special reason to be in New York. Isotope Watches turned ten.
Ten years of doing things a little differently. Ten years of distinctive designs, creative thinking, and an unwavering belief that watches should have personality. And what better way to celebrate that milestone than by bringing together some of the people who have helped make the journey so memorable?
On the evening of October 17th, we hosted Isotope's 10th Anniversary soirée at The Churchill Tavern in New York City, with the wonderful support of NYC's RedBar Group. We couldn't have picked a better venue. The Churchill Tavern offered exactly the kind of atmosphere we were hoping for: warm, inviting, full of character, and perfectly suited to an evening spent among friends. And what a gathering it was.
We had the pleasure of welcoming friends, fellow collectors, watch enthusiasts, Isotope customers, and even a handful of colleagues from other watch brands who took time out of their busy NYC Watch Week schedules to celebrate with us. That last part is something I particularly appreciated.
The independent watch industry may be a business, and yes, brands compete for attention and customers, but there's also a wonderful sense of community among the people who make it all happen. Having friends from other brands join us for the evening was a perfect reminder of that.
There was no elaborate agenda, no formal presentation to sit through, and no pressure to do anything other than enjoy the company of people who share a common passion. Just good conversation, great company, a few drinks, plenty of laughter, and, naturally, an awful lot of watches. Exactly how a tenth anniversary should be celebrated.
A Decade Is a Milestone. The Community Is the Achievement.
Reaching ten years is no small accomplishment for an independent watch brand. The watch industry is a challenging place, particularly for brands that choose to forge their own path rather than follow whatever happens to be fashionable at the moment. And if there's one thing Isotope has never been accused of, it's following the crowd.
From the very beginning, Jose has had a distinct vision for what Isotope should be. That creative independence has helped build a brand with a recognizable identity and a loyal community of enthusiasts who appreciate something a little different. But as we celebrated in New York, one thing became abundantly clear. The watches may have brought everyone together, but the relationships are what make the journey worthwhile.
Seeing customers proudly wearing their Isotope watches, hearing the stories behind their purchases, reconnecting with old friends, and meeting new collectors who are just discovering the brand made the anniversary feel like much more than a celebration of ten years in business. It felt like a celebration of ten years of friendships. And that's something worth raising a glass to.
New York, You Certainly Know How to Deliver.
I've always believed that the best watch events are the ones where the watches themselves eventually become an excuse for something bigger. A conversation. A friendship. A shared story. A connection that lasts well beyond the weekend.
Between The Hype Watch Show at The Draper Hotel and our anniversary celebration at The Churchill Tavern, New York delivered all of that and then some. To everyone who stopped by the Isotope table, whether you came to purchase a watch, try one on, ask a question, or simply say hello, thank you. To everyone who joined us at The Churchill Tavern to celebrate our tenth anniversary, you made the evening truly special. To the NYC RedBar Group, thank you for helping us bring together such a memorable gathering.
And to the organizers of The Hype Watch Show, congratulations on putting together an event that understands what makes this community tick. You've built something worth coming back for. Finally, to Jose, congratulations on ten years of Isotope. It's a pleasure to be part of the journey and to help introduce this wonderfully unconventional brand to watch enthusiasts across North America.
Ten years down. Plenty more stories to tell.
New York, we'll see you again in 2027.
And to everyone who made this weekend what it was, thank you for reminding us that while we may come together because of watches, it's the people who keep us coming back.
